Balsam Lake

Balsam LakeLocated on the highest point of the Trent Severn Waterway Balsam Lake holds a more cottage country feel than that of Sturgeon or Cameron. The primary inflow of water to the lake actually originates in Minden from the Gull River. With clean and clear waters and beautiful rocky and sandy shorelines Balsam is a highly desired lake in the Kawartha Region. Sitting on a wide section of Limestone most lots on the lake are flat with easy water access.

Balsam Lake is great for Watersports, Swimming and Fishing. With a maximum depth of approximately 50 feet the water warms up quickly in the spring. The lake holds a natural population of small and large-mouth bass, walleye, northern pike and muskie making it a great spot for the avid fisherman.

Near the town of Coboconk which is home to all the restaurants and supplies you need such as: The Pattie House, Rosie’s Dockside Bar and Grill, and Balsam RPM. Balsam is also close to both Minden and Lindsay.

Although the more expensive of lakes in the Kawarthas its stunning views and practical location make it worth it.
